19 healthcare students supported by NORWAC complete their education
On the 23rd of July in Beirut, it was time to celebrate more than 147 students graduating with the support of the Palestinian Student Fund (PSF), across a range of academic fields and educational institutions. Among the young Palestinian graduates gathered at Beirut’s Crown Plaza Hotel were 19 healthcare students who had finally completed their last semesters within the fields of nursing, laboratory technology and speech therapy, with support from NORWAC.
Palestinian refugees in Lebanon are barred from national public education, while private alternatives are too expensive to handle for many. NORWAC is only one of several private and institutional donors contributing to the Palestinian Student Fund, whose decades-long efforts have helped thousands of Palestinians obtain higher education and vocational training in Lebanon. NORWAC has partnered with the PSF since 2012.
