Capacity building on gender protection awareness
NORWAC successfully conducted a Gender Protection Awareness Workshop in February 2026 for 20 Ministry of Health (MoH) nurses and midwives, aimed at strengthening knowledge and skills on gender protection, safeguarding, and the promotion of safe and inclusive healthcare services.
The workshop provided participants with practical guidance on recognizing and responding to gender-based protection concerns, supporting vulnerable individuals, and promoting dignity, equality, and respect within healthcare settings. Through interactive discussions and group activities, MOH nurses and midwives shared experiences and explored strategies to improve protection-sensitive healthcare delivery in their communities.
This initiative reflects NORWAC’s continued commitment to empowering healthcare workers and advancing gender-sensitive and rights-based approaches in health services.
