NORWAC team enters Gaza
A week ago, a team consisting of Norwegian health workers managed to enter Gaza. They will spend about three weeks working at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and also provide support at one of the field hospitals in Gaza. As the the hospital is poorly equipped, the team is prepared to work under difficult conditions.
The team is led by team leader and orthopedist Geir Stray Andreassen, who has been to Gaza several times during the war. He is accompanied by orthopedist Odd Arild Ågedal from Hammerfest Hospital and surgical nurse Silvana Zuvela from Ahus.
