NORWAC visit to Aleppo University Hospital

As part of NORWAC’s longstanding cooperation with local health partners in several parts of Syria over many years, our Syria team recently visited the Aleppo University Hospital (AUH) in order to examine opportunities for expanding the scope of our work in the country. AUH is among the largest public hospitals in Syria, but has been subject to years of war and financial strains, heavily affecting the overall public services in Syria’s largest city.

The NORWAC team met with hospital director Dr. Ibrahim Alasaad (second left in the photo), and got a tour of the hospital, including the sterilization department. NORWAC looks forward to initiate direct collaboration with AUH with the aim of strengthening the role of the hospital in providing adequate services to the people of Syria.
