In November NORWAC organized two workshops for our partners in Lebanon and our Syrian partners in Turkey. The purpose of the workshops was to exchange ideas in the field of proposal writing and reporting and develop a proposal template which will be in line with NORWAC’s donor’s (The Norwegian Ministry of foreign Affairs) requirements. Having good reporting and monitoring routines are central in project management and NORWAC’s aim was to introduce and make sure that all partners have the same understanding of the concepts and that the new proposal template will fit their needs.

The workshops combined theory and practice. All participants were actively engaged and committed in the process throughout the two days.  During the workshop the participants went through the topics of Project cycle and logic chain, guidelines for needs assessment, understanding the conceptual distinctions between outputs, outcomes and indicators, gender equality and risk management.

In Beirut we also had a visit from the Norwegian Ambassador, Lene Lind who engaged with us in discussions about the new humanitarian strategy to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Thanks to our partners for their commitment and participation. These workshops will hopefully inspire, strengthen and continue the important work our partners do in their field.
